Casey Smith, M.D.

Dr. Smith is board-certified in adult and forensic psychiatry. He received his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Additionally, Dr. Smith completed a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at New York University and a certification fellowship in Electro-Convulsive Therapy (ECT) at Columbia University.  He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Smith also serves as a guest lecturer for the NYU Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Program and the NYU Public Psychiatry Fellowship Program.

He is the former Medical Director of the Argent Program at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, CT, and the current Director of electroconvulsive therapy at the Manhattan Psychiatric Center. 

Before becoming a physician, Dr. Smith had a career as a lawyer in New York City and San Francisco.  He holds a Juris Doctor from New York University and is a member of the New York State Bar and California State Bar.

Dr. Smith maintains a private practice in New York City.
